A talented fundraising professional with over 10 years of non-profit
experience, Ms. Barham was most recently Director of Development at Columbia
University’s acclaimed Mailman School of Public Health, where she
was later retained as a consultant. Earlier, she served in two
key capital campaign positions at the YMCA of Greater New York, first
as Director of its Branch Capital Campaigns and then as the overall Capital
Campaign Director.
Her expertise includes designing and implementing structured fundraising
strategies tailored to major donors, corporations and foundations. She
has overseen complex efforts requiring careful coordination, trained
and developed Board members and leadership groups, planned and executed
cultivation events, and conducted and supervised feasibility studies. Ms.
Barham’s other initiatives include developing and implementing
plans to create giving traditions for alumni and mobilizing advisory
boards to continue cultivation practices. Her leadership extends
to volunteer work as a Board Member of Fresh Youth Initiatives,
a mentor for Student/Sponsor Partnership, and an organizer for US-El
Salvador Sister Cities Project.
Ms. Barham holds a Master of Science in
Nonprofit Management degree from the Robert J. Milano Graduate
School of Management and Urban Policy at the New School University. She
received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Hispanic Studies
from Northwestern University. She is fluent in Spanish.
